๐ฅ Key Members Announced
The Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) for scrutinizing two bills on simultaneous elections will include:
- Anurag Thakur (BJP)
- Priyanka Gandhi Vadra (Congress)
- P P Chaudhary (BJP, former MoS for Law)
๐ Committee Details:
- 21 Lok Sabha members and 10 Rajya Sabha members will form the 31-member panel.
- The motion for the committeeโs constitution will be moved by Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal.
๐ชง Potential Chairperson:
- P P Chaudhary is the frontrunner, with Anurag Thakur also considered a contender.
- Speaker Om Birla will finalize the chairperson.
